QuestionI just had the replacement icemaker in my Whirlpool fridge. Now it will not stop making ice. Is it possible they installed the stop bar backwards.? The stop bar is working as it should (ie: raises with the ice). It has a plastic flap on the bar.

- Answer I am not sure if it will work with that model or not however I would NOT recommend this ice maker to anyone. We were not told you have to manually shut it off or it will over flow. There is no automatic switch that stops it from continuing to make ice once the bucket is full. If you leave town, turn it off or you might come back to a mess. Had this been explained to us PRIOR to being installed there is NO WAY we would of purchased this one. AWFUL DESIGN!!!
