During a power outage it would work like a regular litter box. It just won't empty the waste.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If this happens you will have to revert back to the old ways of scooping out the clumps of litter. But you can still pull out the waste drawer to where you just scoop out and toss it in there and push the drawer back closed.

If there is no power for a long period of time the robot can not cycle on its own and would need to be scooped. In order for the Litter-Robot to operate properly there would need to be power.
