“Can this unit be placed inside of a free standing bar? Concerned about the ventilation. Does it vent in the back and would that be a problem if "inside" a piece of furniture.”

I have it installed in a base cabinet. 4-5” of clear space around the cabinet. But at the face of the cabinet only 2” clearance. It works but there is quite a bit of heat that you can feel coming out of the cabinet (around the face). And yes fridge it does vent out the rear. Optimally it should be free standing. But you do what you have too.

This item is designed for freestanding installation and needs a minimum of 4-6" of clearance on all sides.
