probably, depending where you live, and insulation in the garage. I live in Arizona, it would make it better, maybe not 70 degrees
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not sure depending how large your garage is. I would check the units information to see how large of a area it will cool. I use it to cool a small upstairs dorm room.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My bedroom was a 2 car garage which was converted into a bedroom.... I would suggest measuring the square footage to make sure the unit can handle it..Make sure the BTU is a little more than what you need. The unit works well to cool my room in the evening but here in south texas (next to the Mexico border) - the unit has trouble during the daytime keeping the room cold - the room gets about 78 degrees when it is about 96 degrees outside... In the evening - my room gets cold and I have to adjust the thermostat... It is a bit loud - kinda like a big fan but it is tolerable. . . I love the convienence. You do need some form of ventilation so that the unit can "blow" out the hot air.... I didn't realize how much hot air it blows out.. (More than a dryer) .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The unit can be used to cool a garage.
