Can I use it without windows? null

No if its used for air conditioning it has to be vented outside.

I bought this for my son who is living in a dorm with no air conditioning. He says the cooling is fine but the exhaust hose emits hot air. He has stuck the exhaust hose out the window to send the hot air outside. So you can use it without a window but I wouldn't recommend it because the hot air from the hose will keep the room hot.

Yes, but you need a vent to push the hot air out... You can connect the hose to the AC vent duct or some other outlet, but the unit blows a lot, a lot of hot air --- like 5 times of a hair dryer- so you need to get the hot air outside somehow.
