“I have an old AC unit still in the window in need of removal. I have a new window AC and heat unit in need of installation. Is this what you do? I don't know if I need a bracket until the installer sees it. How will that work?”

You will most likely need a wall sleeve for your new unit. I’d buy one to have on hand just to be safe as this is usually what’s used when installing and if you don’t need it you can always return it. Also, I have total tech with BB and went thru multiple ordeals which were nightmarish with installers coming to my house and many phone calls only for the final outcome to be that Total Tech does NOT install wall unit’s/through the wall ACs, only regular window ACs…you’ll need to pay someone who knows how to install a through the wall ACs and they can help guide you with if you need a wall sleeve and/or insulation around the unit… Hope this helps and good luck!
