Q: QuestionWill this unit remove mold spores from the air?

• A:Answer I’m not sure what the spore size is . But if it removes 99.9% pollutants I would think viruses would be in that also which viruses are usually somewhere around about 3 microns… just to give you a size comparisons a oil filter on your car is 20 microns and human hair is 70 microns..

• A:Answer I can't answer about the asthma but my wife can tell a difference with her allergies. She says it's much easier to breathe. The fan is fairly quiet. It has a turbo but the noise level is not that noticeable. It moves a lot of air in turbo. Even low speeds air moves very efficiently. We love the unit and it's worth the money.

• A:Answer Hello, the Winix 5500-2 does not omit any harmful ozone. PlasmaWave is not an ionizer, ionizer produces negative ions only, where PlasmaWave produces both positive and negative ions to clean the air at a molecular level.
