• no they take over in place of. The roku remote controls them. I end up adding the roku speaker bar to get the audio. When you only setup these speakers the TV considers them front forward facing speakers until you add the speaker bar. With that they sound great and I plan to buy more for other rooms in our house. Our smaller rooms they will be perfect on their own. I highly recommend these speakers, but note if the room is a little bigger start with the speaker bar and add these to that.
