This might be caused by the audio of what you are streaming. If it's only streaming in 2.1 or 3.1 then it likely will only come thru your streambar and subwoofer, leaving your surround speakers silent. The audio of the stream will need to be 5.1 or better to take advantage of the surround speakers in most cases. This is why occasionally you surround speakers go silent.

While watching content press the asterisk * button on your Roku remote, select sound settings and scroll down to Surround level. You can then adjust the Surround level by raising or lowering the volume of the Roku wireless speakers.
