Nope. Totally enclosed with magnetic tab to hold against the metal band.

I find it to be very secure. The magnetic clasp is quite strong.

I have been using mine for over a week now, I prefer it to the original band but I do find myself adjusting the strap throughout the day. the magnet tends to slide on the band when i'm working. However for me, even at the loosest it doesn't fall off my hand. It depends on the size of your wrist and hand but it is definitely possible.
