Hello, Thank you for reaching out with your question. I'll be happy to clarify this for you. To answer your question: clean the front windshield using the dust-proof sticker included in the package, attach the static cling to the windshield, peel off the sticker on top of the dashcam mount, and then attach the main unit to the mount.
