• You need the battlechest which you can always catch on sale. You don't need the expansion before.

• Yes, to play you need the base game and all the previous expansions.

• You would need to buy the basic game and then Legion to get to 110. Then, any additional beyond that to progress. I don’t believe warlords, nor wrath, not cats nor mists is required.
