Polished and fun for old fans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's tough for me to say whether or not World of Warcraft is worthwhile for a new player, as I've been playing off and on since the game's release (heavily for the first 3 expansions, and then hardly after that). For someone like me, though, who enjoys games with lovingly-crafted environments which encourage exploration, the new Battle for Azeroth expansion is exactly what I'm looking for. There are so many fun details packed into every corner of the world, and I'm having a great time poking around and taking my time. If you remember World of Warcraft fondly and haven't played for a while, but are willing to look beyond the fact that it's likely not anywhere close to the same game that you remember (in terms of systems, community, and activities), then I'd recommend it.

WoW returns
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: It’s the WoW that you know and love. Lots of quests. Takes up time on boring evenings and makes you feel like you’re getting stuff done. For those returning from long ago you can auto lvl a toon to 110. This way it’s easier to jump into the new content. Cons: It’s the WoW you know and hate. It seems to take forever to get to certain meaningful quests. If you auto lvl a toon to 110 you are missing out on some of the story and sort of feel lost. And for the love of Azeroth can we please get some modern graphics. I know some people like the vintage 2005 look, but many of us have powerful gaming computers now. So Blizzard, please spend a little of the millions you’ve made on this game to improve the graphics. I mean even games on cellphones look better than WoW.

Great expac, slightly cheap box
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok, the "bad" out of the way first. The box is cheaply made. If you're a collector, this may mean something to you. Otherwise, look below. Box contents: -no dvd (just a digital code) -a Blizzard notebook -an advert about free videogames in battle.net platform(starcraft2, heartstone, wow until level 20 and hots) -another code for discounts in the blizzard store (wearables) 7th expansion for WoW and this one is pretty fun. A lot of fans asked for more faction war, and this expac delivers on that in spades! You'll get a Level 110 character boost to get you started right away if you've never played/been awhile, also great for twinking a new character. New level cap of 120. Warfront, a new 20payer coop mode, is a pretty fun PvE experience as well.

A good entry point for the series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Battle for Azeorth brings Warcraft back to its root sof the Alliance versus the Horde. If you haven't played recent Warcraft expansions, this game recaps the events through cutscenes and interactive quest chains, allowing you to dive right back into the lore. The gameplay mechanics have been simplified from past expansions, which makes it more accessible to new players. Content is rolling out for the game as of this review, so there is even more to experience on the way. It can take a while for it to be released, leading to some lull in the action, but you can continue to play alts or complete daily quests for rewards. It's worth picking up now to get caught up and either start or return to your journey through Azeroth.

I’ve loved WoW since the beginning
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the new expansion, but can never do a group or dungeon. The average wait time is 17 min to over an hour on my server. I haven’t played one dungeon or group quest in about a month and I’m now level 120. I wish you could just buy the flying skill. It’s been like this for like three expansions now. I’m also disappointed, since the previous expansion that I cannot play WoW on my IMac. It is a 2011 with the best graphics for the time. I had to use bootcamp and buy windows 7 (for The newer Direct X) to play it. Overall it’s ok. I hope the next expansion is better.

It's BFA...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nothing special here, it's Battle for Azeroth. I'm a more casual WoW player but it adds some cool content, that perhaps takes too much time to unlock. But going through the story with existing characters is still just what you'd expect from any expansion. If you love WoW and want some more content, this is a fine way to get that or if you want to continue the story of the game. Not necessary for new players unless you just want to have everything available to you.

Late to the party, but still had fun
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When WoW Classic dropped, I picked up a subscription to experience what many people considered "the good old days." Many of my friends still actively played retail WoW so I decided to pick up Battle for Azeroth. I have no idea what's going on in the story, but it's all about questing, dungeons, pvp, and loot. I don't know if I'll continue my subscription, but I had fun with the month I played.

Favorite Expansion since Burning Crusade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've put so many hours into this expansion. The new zones are some of the best ever, and the most graphically intensive and unique. I came back "For the Horde!" and I've enjoyed a ton of time both alone and with friends adventuring the new dungeons/raids/zones. Definitely, recommend if you're a fan of WoW. If you're a newcomer, I advise the free trial to level 20 and if you decide you're interested, this is a great expansion to jump on.

Love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This expansion has a different feel to it than previous ones. The one thing I really like is leveling from 110 to 120 which was much better in terms as how long it takes. The scenery is great. They made the main story line in my opinion much more involving and engaging which is great because its gets you more involved into the game I think. I think this expansion is one you should really consider if you haven't played in awhile.

A good expansion
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This expansion brought me back, like they always do, and I must say this certainly seems on the better end of the expansions. Although I don't think it'll be as good as Legion, they have really upped the different amount of activities you to tide you over. I am concerned about the lack of raids, but its early. I also hate what they've done to the professions and armor, but these are relatively minor.

It's wow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It seems like blizzard has hit a weird cycle. Wod was awful. Legion was amazing and this one is alright. Idk personally I think it's time for wow2 because at this rate within the next two expansions they'll un-cataclysm azeroth as I feel they're running out of ideas. Anyways let's face it if you play wow you'll probably get it and it isn't bad it just lacks that excitement.

Good expansion
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played WoW for years and used this expansion as a chance to get back in the swing of things. As far as story I had a lot of fun with it as I did with the others. I just feel over the years they have tried to simplify the game to appeal to newer players. If you are a fan of the game then you will enjoy this but definitely lost the magic that kept me playing for years.

more of the same
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you haven't like WoW in the past you probably won't like this. It new content but it's the same game as before. Depending on when you have last played there might be some quality of life changes you will enjoy but it's pretty much the same games as the last expansion. If you like WoW i would recommend it, if you haven't tried it before its not a bad time to start.

Returning customer for this expansion
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came back after not playing for a few years. Devoted a ton of hours and enjoyed the content. Very cool that horde and alliance have two different story lines and continents. In prior expansions the content blurred over much earlier on, whereas in this one you can play all the ten new levels for each side while doing completely different and horde/alliance themed events.

Nice Expansion
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We now have another region to explore in the Warcraft saga. I am a few levels into the new expansion and the graphics and gameplay are great. There are a few quests that seem to have some issues but overall it is a worthwhile experience. There are some new character classes to try but I haven't tried them yet.

Another solid expansion
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While an expansion can hardly be fully reviewed weeks within release it's safe to say that BfA is a soild release even if it's not all that different from the WoW experience from the past 6-8 years. Newcomers should welcome the free 110 level boost and the requirement of owning previous releases removed.

Good expansion for returning players
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I played wow for the first 6 years it was out. I had to take a break due to really life things. Getting back into wow in this expac has been great. I'd recommend it for any old players who haven't been online in some time.

Great Leveling, Messy Endgame
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new zones and questing experience was really enjoyable and had a lot of content. I'm not much of a raider anyway, but the end game offerings were a bit messy and got boring pretty quickly. I mainly play for the story, and was still really well put together on that front.

Very fun expansion for a horde loyalist
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There has been a lot of hate on blizzard for this expansion but as a horde player who is enjoying sylvanas's no fs given approach to the alliance it is great. Besides it's warcraft not peacecraft or even non aggression pactcraft. Glory to horde. Sylvanas did nothing wrong.

Good game for the whole family
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have other family and friends that play this and with everyone having different schedules it’s hard to always meet up with everybody so this has been a great way to set back and have fun together. My 11 year old daughter has joined in on the fun now also.
