- Answer It's best not to try and mulch wet leaves with this because they become clogged in the shoot and never make it to the mulcher.

QuestionTo use as a vacuum, do the leaves need to be blown/raked into a pile first or can I walk around my yard sucking up the leaves on the dirt, flower beds, plants, etc? Will this tool vacuum up pine needles? Can I avoid vacuuming up the dirt/soil?

- Answer You can walk around suckling up the leaves or you can blow them into a pile and suck them up. I like piling them up. You can blow the leaves out of your flowers and then mulch (especially if you have landscaping mulch in the flower beds) It will pick up pine needles. I've never had any problems with it picking up dirt or soil. It doesn't like rocks, sticks, nuts etc.

- Answer I would not recommend it for this purpose. The grass clippings would probably clog the impeller.
