They tend to ship them a week ahead of time, timed to arrive on launch day..... Occasionally I will get preorders a day early, but I would careful trying to login with it much earlier than that (Microsoft will usually allow a day early, but if you try logging on too soon, you might get banned so tread carefully). With preorders from Best Buy, I get things everywhere from a day early to two days late (usually UPS's fault for that).
