The 512 GB claim doesn't take into account the actual system. So after that you are left with less storage. It can hold some regular size games but it you want some larger games you're going to need external storage. If a lot of your games are 360 you don't need to get Seagate but if most/a lot are going to be One or Series X|S you're going to need the Seagate storage.
