• reach out to microsoft. Its just like a computer. Microsoft can give you the serial number (if you didn't keep the box) It should be linked to the persons xbox account. The big game companies have the ability to brick a console that was stolen (with proof). I worked for Playstation and we would do this is customers had a police report.
