Get your son the black one cause its faster, more powerful , has more storage, and has 4k if you have a television for him that supports 4k gaming.

While both systems share most of the same features and will play next-generation games, Xbox Series X is more powerful, has a larger solid state drive, can play games in true 4K resolution, and has a built-in 4K UHD Blu-ray drive for playing Xbox games on disc.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The white Xbox is digital only. Meaning you download the games. The black one has a disc drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'd Imagine he'd want the black one, mostly because it is much better, and is the main xbox releasing. The white one is more of a secondary and he might not like it as much as the other. I'd try asking him, though because you never know.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Series S is the cheaper one and is meant to replace the Xbox One S. It's meant for 1080p/1440P gaming. It's like buying a Corvette. The Series X is the replacement for the Xbox One X. It's meant for 4K gaming and it's buying a Ferrari. There's a significant gap in terms of performance between the two. In another analogy it's like buying an RTX 3060 vs RTX 3080. One is meant for 1080P/maybe 1440P gaming while the other is meant for 4K.
