“I already own the Xbox Series S which is alright I wanted this system....now I noticed those who don't own these systems we need to download the editions that aren't for our systems.....if I buy hard discs will the other editions be on the disc too”

Most developers are producing a series S/X software option. However, that being said the original version is backwards compatible. Unlike PlayStation, there aren’t separate versions.
