The best way ive been telling people that want a console (xbox or ps5) is through apps that alert you immediately when stores have stock. The one I used was called "HotStock" and is on the play store and the apple store. My friend also used it to secure a ps5.

A:AnswerFrom my younger years working at GameStop during previous system releases the best answer was; nobody knows until the truck shows up. Basically Microsoft and Best Buy have an agreement on the quantity of consoles shipped to each region, and time slots. The only person who may know, is the stores GM, and they don’t talk about it because of the risk of units disappearing before they hit shelves
