I wish I could answer your question. But, I did purchase this same graphics card because the frequent updates to Windows 10 made my on-board graphics card and related drivers obsolete. My monitor prefers to work at 1600x900, and Windows 10 wouldn't support it any more. However, purchasing this graphics card and installing its drivers made everything better again. While this doesn't directly answer your question, maybe it will give you hope that it might help your situation. It was a cheap investment, and I was given the option to return it to Best Buy if it didn't work.
