Disclaimer, I'm not a technician or anything. Just an old person with some experience with PC's Have you tried both display ports and a different monitor? I would suspect the monitor before the onboard graphis. OR... the power supply. A PC that old (going on 10 years I believe) could have HD and Power Supply issues that look like a monitor issue.
