For Auto-Unlock via Bluetooth, you'll have to be within 15 feet or so of the lock after returning home. It will unlock as you approach the door. Because this lock has Wi-Fi, you can use the Yale Access app on your smartphone or Apple Watch, from anywhere via Wi-Fi. Hope that helps!

Please try again later.This door lock has a feature allowing it to be connected to WiFi, so as long as you have a connection to your home WiFi network you should be able to lock/ unlock from your phone using the Yale app. There’s also geofencing options to enable the auto lock/ Auto Unlock features, allowing you to leave your home and the door automatically locks and then unlocks when you return. And of course, you have biometric and keypad lock/ unlock functions too.
