I’ve had this installed for 2 months and I like it so far. It’s very convenient for my kids to not have to carry a key and giving friends or family access when I’m not there. Installing was very straightforward with simple tools and a smart phone. Some issues- I find my youngest child’s fingerprint is not always recognized. That age is also least likely to remember a code. I had to change the 4 AA batteries after 2 months of use, but it does give you plenty of warning to replace them. I find I need to re-calibrate the “door sense” every few weeks or the auto lock feature does not work. It doesn’t affect the other aspects of the lock. I would recommend this lock. I plan to purchase another - possibly the key free version for another door in the future.

I really had high hopes for this lock after reading the reviews but I am disappointed. First off this is my 2nd lock in 30 days. I installed the first one and the same day it stopped working. I contacted Yale and they did a remote test and told me it is not receiving any signals and is defective. Took it back to Best Buy and bought another one and installed that. I have been using this lock for exactly 30 days today and every single day it has lost wifi connection- no exaggeration. Currently I am unable to see the lock in the Yale app because yesterday morning it lost wifi connection and it never connected again. This defeats the purpose of a smart lock. It is marketed as "you are able to control the lock from anywhere for security and peace of mind" that is inaccurate because when the lock stops connecting to wifi and is running off bluetooth, you cannot see any lock activity in the app. So if I am traveling I have no clue who is coming into and out of the house, when the door is opening and closing, the status of the door- NOTHING! And as far as my wi-fi goes, my internet connection is top notch. I have tried this lock on the standard internet and just a few days ago we got a super fast fiber internet installed and even on that Wi-Fi it has lost connections multiple times. I have attached a picture of what I see which shows you cannot see anything on the app when it is not connected to Wi-Fi. Considering this lock is over $200, I am extremely dissatisfied with this product. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
