Yes, the core can be removed, but you should rekey the core that comes with the lock because it has a special fit that makes the keyway flush with the face of the lock. BUT!!! I would NOT buy this lock if I were you. I bought two of them, and within three months both locks were only usable by the physical key. The electronics died on both. I had one installed at my mother's apartment, and the other on mine. I'm in the middle of a warranty replacement with one, when the other died when I was about to inquire when they'd send me a replacement. Now I've asked them for a full refund instead because I no longer want this on my doors. Good Luck and hopefully you won't consider this product, as it is really poorly manufactured.

These keys are exclusively compatible with Yale locks and can only be duplicated through Yale. If you have further questions, please reach out to [email protected] or 855.213.5841.
