There is a difference between 4K and HDR. The older 4K tvs and receivers cannot support HDR. Per the manufacturer: 4K Ultra HD pass-through with HDCP 2.2 support with High dynamic range (HDR) and BT.2020 compatibility. When purchasing anything 4K, verify these 3 items are supported HDCP 2.2, HDR and HDMI 2.0a or 2.1 In addition, only the high end receivers and tvs support upscaling of 1080P to 4K, most receivers and tvs are pass through 4k.
