• Well, it probably would be if you just wanted some sound in the bedroom. The thing is stereo is 2 channels and with only 1 speaker you would only be getting 1 of the channels, or half of the true music you would be listening to. Most people would want to hear the whole sound of the music so would want a pair of speakers.
