you can run your rca audio out jacks directly to any input on this receiver. I suggest line 1 or 2, depending on what else you plan to connect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you are using a cable box and have an hdmi output from that box, you don't have to use RCA jacks. But if your box doesn't have an hdmi output, as mine didn't until I got a new box, I think you plug your RCA jacks into the Phono input. Then you would have to run the audio from the receiver through one of the AV settings. I used AV setting 2. Double check your manual, but it worked great for me.
