“There was question about space needed for this unit. I have about 12 inches between the shelf and the top but it is a cabinet with glass doors that will be closed. The remotes work thru the glass doors. Will there be enough space? The Yamah 400w 5.1”

You will have space, but this unit it's recommended to have room for ventilation. This units generates heat. Make sure you keep cabinet door open when you use that unit
