Possibly not. The manual describes how to set the speaker impedance setting to either 8-ohm or 6-ohm, no mention of other settings for 4-ohm, 5-ohm or other. You might want to write Yamaha directly to see if setting it to 6-ohm would be "close enough" for your 5-ohm speakers.
