Negative. Standard IR. It does have IP control though, which you may be able to utilize in your situation.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The hand held remote that comes with the stereo is Infra Red not blu-tooth but Yamaha has an APP for iOS and Android phones that uses WiFi. It is much better than the hand held remote. The APP supports HDMI, DLNA servers, FM/AM and Internet FM radio stations with Icons. If you have an Android TV and or Comcast cable, APPs are available for them also allowing total control of your home theatre setup via your phone or tablet from anywhere in the home. The Yamaha Receiver also supports WiFi Audio casting to Yamaha speakers in the home using a second APP also available in the iOS and Android stores. Once loaded the APPs look for a Yamaha receiver on the home network, if it doesn't find one you are offered a DEMO mode. The receiver will also show up as a DLNA player when using a DLNA APP from third parties.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All my line-of-sight IR devices (Yamaha receiver, Apple TV, PlayStation, Comcast Xfinity) are located in a cabinet with doors below my TV. I am able to control all of them with a Logitech Harmony Elite Remote Control and Hub. A small (1"x1/2") device sits on top of the cabinet and communicates the remote commands to a Logitech Hub that sits inside the cabinet and communicates the commands to all the devices in the cabinet. I have had the system for a couple of years and it works great once you have gone through the somewhat complicated programming process for all of your devices.
I would recommend:
