Page 44 of the manual talks about sliding the Zone A/Zone B switch to Zone B, then selecting an input. Keep in mind that you cannot drive both a 5.1 channel system in Zone A in combination with a 2.0 channel system in Zone B. Using Zone B means sacrificing the surround channels from Zone A. This isn't spelled out explicitly in the manual; you have to glean it from zooming in on the diagram of the rear of the receiver on page 14.

You can play either zone, or both, but all speakers will play the same thins. I believe you can move up a level or so to get the function you desire, but am not sure.
