A:AnswerThe system has a few RCA video inputs, that could be used to connect older components. I connected a CD changer over 25 years old using RCA cables to this system. If any components are newer with digital outputs, the system can take those too.
A:AnswerYes it can be hooked up with standard awg speaker wire. I used a heavier gauge wire on my rough in of my new room and the only problem I had is on the speaker and amp push connections, the holes are small and it is a little work getting them in. Other than that the it’s fine.
A:AnswerInstallation is easy. Most difficult part is having to wire the speakers, but the manual has clear instructions about that. Be aware that there might not be enough speaker wire if you have a large living room. But again, installation was no problem.
A:AnswerReceiver is W-17” x H-6 1/2” x L-14”
Sub W-11 1/2” x H-11 1/2” x L- 15”
These measurements include some space for the plugs on the back.
Keep in mind that the receiver generates heat so the more airspace you can allow for will help keep it from overheating and last longer.
The sub has a port on the side which you can turn it sideways for airflow.
A:AnswerIt has bluetooth, and an auxiliary port, it doesnt have wifi capabilities nor does it have XM Satellite radio. That being said, yes its a very decent set of surround sound speakers with a powerful subwoofer, the bass is phenomenal.
A:AnswerThe only thing I can see that is claimed as wireless is the Bluetooth capability. This day of age for some reason Bluetooth is wireless for all ads. Don't get me wrong it is but a different technology. If you set on wireless then go with a sound bar. I can be called old fashioned, but you can not get great sound quality with wireless. Too many things can interfere with the signal to degrade it. This system is ok, but if I could go back in time I would not get it.
A:AnswerTurn the bass to negative whatever the lowest setting is on the receiver. Then adjust the bass on the subwoofer. Now all your speakers won't be putting out bass, just your subwoofer. You can make it have enough to sound good, and not rumble everything.
A:AnswerThis unit has outputs for 2 front speakers, one center speaker, 2 rear speakers and an RCA connection for a powered sub. You could connect 4 ohm speakers however it may burn out the speakers, unit or both prematurely. You’d be best to use 6 or 8 ohm speakers.
A:AnswerI had the same issue at first. You ha e to change the style of music it's set too. Once you go through each one, you will find the one that uses all the speakers.
