Questioncan you program the music you want to hear and have that program saved even after unit turned off?is there a reapt mode that will go thru all discs in any way the disc has been set up? I have the sony and it cannot play all disc continuous in program mode thank you. what color are the lights.

- Answer Owner's Manual: Page 8, bottom left, "The programmed tracks are erased when the disc is ejected, THIS UNIT IS TURNED OFF, or this unit is turned to the standby mode."

- Answer Yes, there is a DAC. Which one is only a part of the circuitry that determines the fidelity of the player. Contact Yamaha for details on which DAC is in the unit if you must know.

- Answer I haven’t tried it yet, but according to the operating manual the Yamaha CD-C600 will play MP3 and WMA files from a usb mass storage device that use FAT16 or FAT32 format. The manual does stipulate that “some devices may not work properly even if they meet the requirements”. According to the manual, playback starts in order by date and time of creation of the files. Copyright-protected WMA (DRM) files cannot be played back. The maximum files on a USB are 32,767, consisting of a maximum of 256 folders with 512 files per folder.
