“Can I listen to TV sound bar without turning on receiver to watch TV as I regularly do?”

• I took my sound bar and hooked it up as the center speaker in the surround system. It actually made system sound much better.

• If the sound bar is connected to the receiver, the receiver must be on. If it is connected directly to the TV, the receiver does not need to be turned on.
