assuming your cd player has either hdmi or rca analog (red and white) cables absolutely. all home audio cd players have at least one of these options.

Yes. There are 3 TVA connections in the rear, and one in front. You can edit the screen display to read "CD Player" as well, so you don't have to remember that the CD is on "Aux 2" for example.
