Ohm settings on the receiver are adjustable to match your speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It looks fine PCBuyer. Gene DellaSala of Audioholics says something to this effect: 'leave the speaker settings at 8ohms to allow full use of all the watts available. Yamaha engineers build safety limits within the amp lowering available power if you select lower ohms within the speaker settings menu to protect them from warranty issues.' If you look at page 64 of the Yamaha Aventage RX-A2A manual it looks like this be true. Yamaha almost back themselves handling 4ohm speakers, don't expect the world at that price point perhaps. Otherwise email Gene if you're really worried.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Can it be configured for each channel separately? Or does the ohm setting apply the same for all channels? (This is to know in case you have some speakers of different brands and models)
