These speakers utilize the standard two-wire (black/red) connections so provided the source of the output has these connections, you can connect them. For TV sound, unless the TV has these speaker connections (not typical) you may have to first connect the TV to a receiver and then the speakers to it.

Sure, these speakers offer a common dynamic range, but would work great outside for TV sound.
