• Their made to be attached to a surround sound or stereo. The main unit powers them.

• These are traditional speakers that are connected to a stereo tuner/amplifier with regular speaker wire. The "power" comes from the tuner/amplifier.

• There is no power source. These speakers are not powered individually, like say a Subwoofer or Computer speakers. You have to have an amplifier to play these.
