• Yes it would be an awesome center channel for its frequency response. Problem is they come as a pair so you would have an extra one.

• I recommend these speakers for surround sound Front and back not too much as a center speaker

• Can you? Yes. I wouldn't advise it though - your center channel is the most important speaker in your home theater system - I would spend a little more money and get something better.
