“Is the keyboard part of the case? I am in the process of purchasing a iPAD 4th Generation Retina Display and would like to know if this case would be compatible with it? Also, would this be the best option as far as when it comes to drops/falls, waterproof, etc.. or would you recommend another product?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The keyboard is part of the case and the case does add another layer of protection. However the case is not waterproof and I would not put it to the shock test. In the event of an unfortunate drop, the IPAD would be protected from scratches etc, however, the force would probably still cause damage to the screen. That being said, this case is very functional and easy to use. And it does add additional protection. Love mine and the ZAGG customer service is awesome!

As far as the Zagg I have for my iPad 2, it is a great fit and very solid. The iPad Air is not built with the same quality in my opinion as the other Zaggs. The Keyboard is built into the case.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an Ipad 4th and use this case and its been great. The Ipad wont fall out. Should protect it if you drop it and it seals very tight. I have it in my backpack and it gets handled very rough.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you're looking for a way to ultimately protect your iPad 4 and have an attached keyboard, I would check out the ZAGGkeys PROfolio or PROfolio+. It definitely helps protect it if it ever gets dropped and they keyboard is permanently attached.
