You don't have to buy any games to use the screen protector. The Zagg one is great because it is actually glass. When you apply it, it leaves no bubbles and it has a lifetime warranty for when it gets scratched or damaged.

The protector is for the screen and has nothing to do with the number of games you own. :)

If you want it on your console, you need to add a micro sd card (more memory) so you can have it install because it only include 32 gb, but you can have more like 64 gb... i prefer the games physical and not digital

If you want to have fun, I advise that you buy multiple games that you can play with others. Like anything else, if you keep playing the same thing, you get tired of it. They have a lot of fun games for the Nintendo switch that you will love for all ages!
