No. We do not recommending using this shield if you plan on swimming.

Yes. It's waterproof. I swim with my Fitbit Ionic all the time.

It is just plastic so I can't imagine anything would happen to it unless it was improperly installed. I shower with mine and have not had any problems.

No, it very clearly states it is not waterproof. Washing your hands or face is ok, but, not swimming.
