• Fine scratches maybe, but deep (relatively speaking) probably not. The scratches may cause more problems with bubbles based on what caused the scratches and how ragged the scratch edges are.

• Very possible. My iphone I have now has many small scratches tha you don't see with the shield. Major scratches may be a different story
