I selected this model because you have the flexibility to remove the keyboard from the pad, therefore, using it as a pad, allowing the cover to protect the pad itself from damage in the event of a drop. In addition, when typing one can setup the pad upright at your angle of convenience and peck away at the keyboard at a distance. When you are done everything goes back together held by the magnets, quick and easy. Really like this unit over all the other ones I looked at. Note, there is always a problem. Knowingly the reviews mentioned the hinges break, one did, after 14 days, no matter how careful I was, I contacted ZAGG and they will replace under warranty for a year, what happens after that????, I will ride the wave until something better comes along.
