Yes. The tablet can be removed easily if you don't want to deal with the keyboard. It stays closed bycleverly placed magnets. These magnets will activate your Tab 4's sleep/wake feature to help preserve battery life. Simply open your Folio to wake your Tab 4.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is a tight fit but I am sure you can pop it out but over time you may enlarge the opening too much for such a good fit. There is a spring along the spine of the unit that holds it closed.

Pressing on the tablet from the back at the top corner pops the tablet out of the bezel of the case and enables you to remove it.The case has a fairly firm hinge and stays in whatever position it's tilted to including closed, the position in which tension is greatest.
