A: Yes. The tablet can be removed easily if you don't want to deal with the keyboard. It stays closed bycleverly placed magnets. These magnets will activate your Tab 4's sleep/wake feature to help preserve battery life. Simply open your Folio to wake your Tab 4.

A: Yes, this is the tablet I am using it on.
A: It fits tight but great for my Samsung Tab4.8, so I would think the 8.4 would be a bit too large for it to work.
Q: Will Tab 3 8.0 fit into tab 4 8.0 case?
A: The bluetooth keyboard case should be able to connect to any tablet via bluetooth communications. However they are designed to fit specific models into them, because the unit is molded according to each respective device size & cut-outs. The TAB 3 may or may not fit on the TAB 4 , depending on the size. If the Tab 3 is a little smaller than TAB 4, then it should fit inside the case but will not be secure, since the case may be slightly bigger in size.
A: The Tab 3 fits in this case...not perfectly but good enough that its secure. I was able to pair the keyboard with my Tab 3 but the keyboard would just not work. Just to test things out I paired my Tab 3 with my Logitec keyboard for my Tab Pro 12.2...connected and it worked just fine. Not sure why the Zagg Folio just didn't want to work with the Tab 3. They all use bluetooth connections so it shouldn't be a problem.
