My iPad mini charges in this case when it is open

Sitting open, unused the iPad does charge; however, if I am using it while trying to charge it, the charge is extremely slow. The reason would be that you are using the bluetooth and processor while trying to charge. I could not duplicate the "not charge" problem.

Based on what I have read in the product description and the photos of the product on Best Buy and Zagg websites, I cannot see a reason why it would not be charging. Although that doesn't answer your question about the problem, my solution is to consult your Best Buy representative at your local store. Hard to say why that issue may be happening. Could simply be a setting in the iPad or it would be a problem that requires more research.
