“Is the keyboard detachable on all products I need to know if keyboards with hinges are detachable keyboards. If I want to type on my lap and have my iPad on the desk is this possible?”

• Zagg's rugged case is the only one I know of that the keyboard detaches.

• Yes. You can take the ipad out of the case and put the ipad within several feet and there will be no issues. There is a standard bluetooth connection between the keyboard/case and the ipad.

• The keyboard does not detach separately but you can remove it out of the case and use the keyboard. For this you will need to buy a separate Bluetooth keyboard.
