No, this would not work with an iPad Mini, the slot is too small.

No, I don't think it will. Your device has to fit in a tray that slides into the side of the goggles. I use it with my iPhone 6s Plus and it's a snug fit. The iPad mini would be too big. The iPod would fit but might be too small of a screen to view thru the lenses of the goggles.
